Magellan Launches eXplorist Marine Edition to Give Recreational Boaters a Total Navigation Solution for U.S. Coastal and Inland Waters

Magellan, a leader of innovative GPS devices for vehicles, fitness, outdoor and mobile navigation, today announced the new Magellan® eXplorist® 510 Marine Edition, a comprehensive navigational solution for recreational boaters with exclusive coverage content of U.S. inland and coastal waters and a powerful Magellan eXplorist GPS receiver.

The Magellan eXplorist 510 Marine Edition provides boaters with a custom selection of best-in-class Navionics marine navigation charts and data plus a rugged, waterproof handheld Magellan eXplorist 510 Outdoor GPS device featuring easy-to-use menus, a built-in camera and a 3-inch sunlight-readable color touchscreen. In addition to high-definition content for 12,000 U.S. lakes, the Magellan eXplorist 510 Marine Edition includes U.S. coastal coverage up to two miles offshore, with data on 5-foot contours, tides, currents, wrecks, port plans, marsh areas, and marine services.

GPS China, bandelkah?

Pasar GPS di Indonesia tampknya terus berkembang, dan ini dengan cerdasnya ditangkap oleh provider dari China. Baiklah, kalau made-in China untuk GPS bisa teruji dengan baik, maka konsumen akan meliriknya. Apalagi jika harganya juga kompetitif --seperti barang pabrikan made in China lainnya.

Perdana Pelacak GPS iTrack bebas abonemen

Teknologi GPS (Global Positioning System) makin canggih dan terjangkau. iTrack menjadi perusahaan pertama di dunia yang meluncurkan alat lacak GPS tanpa abonemen yang harus dibayarkan ke penyedia solusi.

iTrack akan memamerkan penemuannya di pameran Manufacturing Indonesia, Hall D Jakarta International Expo Kemayoran Stand 8521 pada tanggal 2-5 Desember ini. “Meskipun tanpa abonemen, kami yakin software kami paling bagus di dunia”, ujar Dharmawan, direktur iQios.com sebagai perusahaan pemilik iTrack, di sela peluncuran iTrack.

Inovasi karya anak-anak bangsa ini dirakit dengan menggunakan komponen GSM Siemens dari Jerman dan dapat dipantau via internet, handphone dan Blackberry. iTrack juga menjalin kerjasama dengan Google dan Blackberry untuk bisa mengembangkan aplikasi berbasis teknologi asing tersebut. Dari segi finansial, iTrack juga memberi fasilitas cicilan BCA 0% 12 bulan selama masa pameran. “Sudah bukan jamannya lagi GPS Tracking itu mahal dan rumit. Datang dan buktikan saja betapa mudah pengoperasian iTrack”, ujar pria kelahiran Jakarta 29 tahun yang lalu.
